Achieving Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environmental Systems is the most important societal challenge of present and future societies. The main goal of the Journal of Sustainable Development Indicators (JSDI) is to provide a wide platform for promoting research on sustainability while assessing the sustainable development through many standardised and conventional but also unconventional and innovative matrices. The published papers in JSDI will need to show the extent to which the presented results address UN Sustainable Development Goals or other important existing and potential issues that impact the well-being of a community or society as a whole.
The journal is intended for researchers, academics, sustainability assessment specialists, decision-makers and policymakers working on the development and application of indicators, metrics and assessment frameworks for sustainable development, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and societal well-being.
The journal considers the following article types:
The journal may also publish Editorials prepared or invited by the Editor-in-Chief, Guest Editors or other authorised contributors. Editorials are not normally open to unsolicited submission. They are assessed editorially and are not normally sent for external peer review. Where an Editorial undergoes external peer review or another review process, the published article will identify the process used.
Detailed submission, authorship and manuscript-preparation requirements for Original Research Articles and Review Articles are provided in the Guide for Authors and Authorship and Contributorship. These article types are subject to initial editorial assessment and external peer review in accordance with Peer Review Policy.
